Silver Coach

Applications are now open for eligible registered Bronze Coaches that are interested in upgrading their skills to becoming a Silver Coach. Silver coaches will gain the knowledge and skills to provide specialised training programs for competitive bowlers. They’ll be able to provide an open learning environment that includes specialised training programs for competitive bowlers to develop specific skills. Coaches who successfully meet the accreditation requirements will be competent in understanding the following topics:

  • Specific adjustments to the physical game

  • Building a bowling ball arsenal

  • Advanced lane adjustments

  • Matching ball surfaces to lane conditions

  • Advanced mental game concepts

  • Video analysis and

  • Establishing a practice plan to develop and expand a bowler’s options in competition

Minimum Requirements

Minimum requirements as per TBA guidelines

  • Participant must be at least 18 years of age;

  • Must be a current registered TBA member;

  • Must hold a current Working with Children check or equivalent from their State of residence; and

  • Must be a current TBA Bronze Accredited Coach for a minimum of 12 months

TBAWA Sponsorship

TBAWA would like to offer sponsorship for the course fees and enrolment fees for participants willing to meet the following criteria

  • Must be a current registered TBA member;

  • Must be a resident of Western Australia

  • Enter into contract for a 12-month period outlining your commitment to fore filling your contribution to the training and development of our members in WA

  • Select two training activities to contribute to over 12 months  

TBAWA Approved Training Activities

  • Bowl Patrol - Lane Rangers

  • Sporting School Coaching Program

  • Junior League Coaching

  • Establish an Adult and/or Senior Coaching program in your centre for members

  • Train State Teams heading to Nationals (Do not have to travel, just local training)

  • Host a coaching workshop

Course Fees

First Deposit to secure your position on the course - $100 1st September 2019

Final Payment for course participation                       - $100 1st November 2019 - Participant will be invoiced

TBAWA Sponsorship (optional)                                    - $200 paid by TBAWA

TOTAL                                                                                       $400.00 Per Participant 


Consideration will be given for online registration fee for the UNSW  (or equivalent) Intermediate General Principles of Coaching course and the First Aid Course fee ($165 approx) for exceptional contributions to the Sport of Tenpin Bowling in WA for TBAWA. This will be at the discretion of the TBA-WA Executive Committee.
